I'm on Zibbet!

I have been selling my jewelry on Etsy for almost 5 years now.  And it has been quite a learning experience as well as mostly fun.  Etsy, has become very big.  HUGE, as a matter of fact.  Making it more difficult for a little shop like mine to be seen in the sea of other sellers.  Unless you already have a large following, are not in the jewelry category and sell lower priced items, you will have a tough time selling on Etsy.  And lately they have made some significant changes making it that much more difficult. 

Now, I am not of the mindset that Etsy owes me anything other than a venue to sell my work.  But it is my feeling that the time has come for me to consider other venues.  And I've looked at alot.  The only one that appealed to me is Zibbet.  It is smaller than Etsy was when I first joined back in '07 but has a very similar feel.  Naturally, being very new, very small and very unknown has its drawbacks.  But since I will have to drive all of my own traffic to my shop on Etsy anyway, I can do that for my Zibbet shop.  And have the fun of growing with Zibbet as I did with Etsy. 

Only time will tell.  But come visit me on Zibbet.
